Welcome to Greater Houston Track Club

From local meets around Houston and surrounding areas to international events across the waters in Australia, Greater Houston (GH) is the premier youth track club where champions are made. Since its inception in 2013, GH’s coaches, staff, and parents have worked as a family to ensure that our community’s student-athletes have every available opportunity to become the greatest in all of their endeavors. With World, National, State, Regional, District and local meet champions and record holders, GH is represented at its greatest by some of best youth amateur athletes in our community.

GH trains its athletes at seven safe and quality training sites throughout Houston and the surrounding areas and utilizes off-site training facilities conducive to learning the art of speed. We encourage our young athletes to maintain their health and endurance through access to information regarding proper diet, exercise, maintenance, and recovery.

GH athletes are encouraged to succeed on and off the track. GH stresses the importance of being a student-athlete and not an athletic student. Attaining a good education and maintaining academic excellence while succeeding at track and field is a mandatory step towards higher education. Several of our GH athletes have received partial and full scholarships to institutions of higher learning including HBCUs, private universities, and community colleges. With a demi-decade of achievement, GH is excited to move into its next lustrum with club athletes who are gaining the attention of Division 1 schools like the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) and Texas A&M.

Annually, GH athletes compete at the highest levels at the Amateur Athletic Union (AAU) and USA Track and Field (USATF) Junior Olympics. Also, our athletes have successful repeated appearances in the Texas Amateur Athletic Federation (TAAF) Games, AAU Primary Nationals, and the AAU Club Championships. Additionally, GH athletes have gained attention and accomplishment at the Great American Track and Field Competition, Down Under Sports Track and Field Competition, USATF Hershey Youth Outdoor and Indoor Championships, AAU Indoor Championships, Louisiana State University (LSU) Youth Indoor Track and Filed Classic, Joe DeLoach Youth Invitational, and the Carl Lewis Invitational.
